Although situated across the street from Jeter K-8 school, of greater importance is the fact that it sits between the front and rear entrances of Meeman-Shelby State Park. With over 12,800 acres of canopied forest, “Shelby Forest” is the most heavily trafficked park in the Tennessee State Park system, boasting an excess of 1.5 million tourists annually. At some point or another, they all eventually find themselves stopping by the Shelby Forest General Store.
Located fifteen minutes north of I-240, and ten minutes west of Highway 51, the store is convenient to the major arteries of the Mid-South. The much anticipated I-69 project is coming soon and could even have a dedicated Shelby Forest exit. Come visit us and plan on sitting a spell.
